Tour Through Our RV

I have been planning to post this tour for some time now.  But other items keep interfering.  Well I finally have it ready after a long time in the draft mode.  The photos are not staged and include our living clutter so please excuse.  The tour begins with the inside of the 40 foot 5th wheel.  The unit is a 2018 Bighorn 3760 EL and has three slide outs, an automated leveling system, two A/C systems, a furnace, and is insulated well enough to be considered a four season model.

We chose this particular model due to the large living area, kitchen, and huge amount of storage, since we planned to live in it full-time for a few years while seeing the USA.  I discussed why we chose the 5th wheel trailer over a motorhome in a previous post.

At 40 feet and some inches it can be a challenge to nestle it into some RV parks.  Although, with some due diligence it usually tends to work out.  It seems like living in a small condo.

Living Room

The living area with big screen TV and the sofa at the back of the unit that will unfold into a queen bed.  Below the TV is an electric fireplace that includes an electric heater.  Overhead is a ceiling fan with light.  They really went overboard adding LED lights.  They are everywhere.
Trish on one of the electric motorized recliners that are opposite the entertainment system.  This side of the RV is almost all windows with a view that changes every week.  Not much of a view this week though.

Dining Area

Dining area.  We rarely use the table for eating.  Either use our recliners or else go outside.
The door entryway and coat closet. This closet has hook up connections for a washer and dryer.  Lots of storage.

Kitchen

The refrigerator is large in RV terms and is gas/electric.
The kitchen is one of the nicest that I have seen in an RV. Lots of storage and countertop space.  A gas range and oven and above is a convection/microwave oven.
This shot shows the center island in the kitchen.  One large sink and a smaller one.  Residential style faucet.
The pantry in the kitchen area.  We need to work on organizing this better.

Bathroom

Part of the bathroom.  Lots of counter space.  The toilet (not shown in this photo) is a porcelain residential model with a foot lever flushing.
The shower also large by RV standards.

Bedroom

King size bed and a walk in closet at the very front.  The guitar is usually stored under the bed.  It has a hydraulic lifter to allow tons of storage under the bed.
The hallway leading up stairs to the BR and bath.

That’s our brief inside tour.  I will document and provide a tour of the outside and the mechanical systems in the next post.  Let me know if questions.
