Cortez Florida – Part Three & Goodbye

We ended our month long stay at this popular winter resort destination in Cortez Florida. It has been a wonderful location. Close to family and walking distance to a dozen restaurants and bars. And we had a great visit from our three kids just before Christmas. It is hard to say goodbye, but it is time to move on to the east coast of Florida and a vacation. Where to Winter Next Year (2020-21)?

Yes, the word winter can become a verb! It is the location that we choose to spend the winter months, since our home has wheels. One of our full time RV goals is to target good weather with 75 degrees the goal. So, with that in mind, we plan to go somewhere south for the winter and then move into the northern states during the summer months. So, now the question is, where to winter next year (2020-21)?

Rio Grande Valley Texas – Quilt Show & Some Thoughts

As I write this, I’m watching the morning news. The cold weather Up North and the federal budget are a couple of the main stories. The temperatures in Chicago got to minus 22 degrees, but not quite a record cold. Wow! John Steinbeck was quoted as saying “What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” Now that I am wearing shorts and flip flops and sitting on the warm southern US border, I can actually see the wisdom in that!
