Things are continuing to move at a fast clip! Maybe too fast? Well, anyway it is what it is, so we had better hang on for the ride. The final closing was today with the normal flurry of signing many papers, so we now have until April 30th to move out of our lovely home that we raised three children. Having until the 4/30 was part of our sale by owner contract. Lots more downsizing needs to happen in the next 45 days.
We have already taken many loads to Goodwill and the storage unit and given things to the kids. Also, several items have been sold through Craigslist. Our goal is to get down to two lawn chairs and the TV remaining in the house by late April.
Also, just yesterday we ordered our new home, a 2018 Heartland Bighorn 5th wheel. It should be here by mid-April to be ready to load up. It is being made back home in Indiana – Elkhart, Indiana to be exact. We will need to extensively test all of its systems through May before taking off on any longer trips. Here is a photo of the main living and kitchen areas. It is 40 feet long and has a 16,000 pound GVWR. We are still firming up our 2017 travel itinerary and need to make our winter 2017-2018 reservations soon in Florida as places will begin to book up before long.
Where to first? Any ideas? Asheville, NC? Savannah, GA? About 55 days and we will be off!
